Recomended to Download link not Bnet as Bnet is so slow and LTF is such a huge map! https://www.epicwar.com/maps/272812/ GENERAL BALANCE AND CHANGES - LTF now has its own custom-made loading screen. - Normal Guard towers no longer cost food, but improved towers still do use up food supply (Previous change was too limiting on army size). Cannon towers still cost food. - XP gained from summoned units reduced from 50% to 40%. - Many Legion/Orc/Shadow council units have had their XP per kill reduced. (There were some which excessively high, for example Nether Dragons were classed as level 10 when they should have been level 5, this was contributing to OP alliance heroes late game.) - New Wall model for Thoradins Wall. - Durnholde Keep has been redesigned. - Damage inflicted by “Magic” attack type towards unarmored units (spellcasters) has been reduced from 75% to 60%. - There are now additional Gnoll Creeps at Shadowfang Keep. - Map has 2 more HQ tree variations. HIGHBORNE - Only Illidan can gain The Broken Akama in Outland (previously it was possible to gain them by sending Kael or Vashj nearby). LICH KING - The Ice Crown Obelisks now have the raise Skeleton ability to help defend the Frozen Throne. DALARAN - At level 10 Rhonin can chose to unlock the Book Of Medivh from its pedestal for safe keeping. This also triggers the secrets of Dalaran bonus units/items. (Can be used even after the Book has been taken but will just grant the bonus items within Dalaran dungeons etc). - Game now uses a more sophisticated way of checking whether alliance is weakened and whether Rhonin can be summoned. When an alliance player leaves or triggers a betrayal path it will check if Alliance has 4 or less players, if yes then it will grant access to Rhonin. (Illidari will not trigger this as Purple already gains Maiev through this event, thogh Illidari still counts towards broken alliance). - Gaining Aegwin and the Tirisfal Council no longer removes Rhonin, (Since Aegwin was nerfed she is not worth losing Antonidas, Jaina AND Rhonin.) - Dalaran’s Barracks have been replaced by the Golem Tower, this is replaced with normal barracks when Purple goes Worgen. (Gives this faction a little more of a unique look). BURNING LEGION - Opening the Gateways to Azeroth from Mardum now requires a new upgrade for Legion: Portal Mastery. (This means Legion can’t use it early game just to get the gold and rescue Ojs forces from Alterac, instead they will hopefully use it mid to late game in a strategic circumstance.) - Gold gained from opening the Azeroth gates increased and doing so also spawns a small demon force at the gateways. - Legion Demonesses have +200hp and reduced gold cost from 35 to 28. - Black Temple abilities now correctly require Legion to have researched Demonic Supremacy (Previously it was for teal to use them without needing the upgrade). - Blades Edge mountains has +7 starting units for Legion (This is to help offset the fact Teal can no longer Infernal drop Tempest keep early game.) - If the Master Gateway in Mardum is destroyed Archimonde can no longer summon demon Portal and loses the ability to cast Wrath of Archimonde, he also loses -20 Intelligence. (This makes Mardum important for Teal to defend even once Archimonde has been summoned.) - HP of Mardum Master Gateway increased from 3500 to 7500 and armor increased from 10 to 15. - Nether Hatchlings have the Phase Shift ability. - Voidwalker build time increased from 1 to 3, - Tichondrius has his permanent invisibility back but Dreadlords now auto acquire targets. - Terons Mardum portal is no longer linked to the Master gateway as this was causing bugs, instead it is linked to a new portal which spawns in Mardum when this spell is cast. DWARVES - Gates of Ironforge have armor decreased by 5. RANGER CORPS - Ranger Corps movement speed bonus has been moved from Farstrider Upgrade to Ambush Tactics upgrade. - Damage of Corps Ballistic Arcane Bolt has been reduced slightly. DARK HORDE - If Blood Elves has gone Wretched path and Magtheridon has fallen then Dark Horde can chose to trigger the Illidari, Illidan himself leads the Fel Horde. Orange player becomes Illidari and gains access to Naga units and Demon Hunter Elites. They do not gain Blood Elf units and loose Smoulderthorn Hero Voone. (This means Dark Horde don’t lose their only betrayal path if Red chooses Wretched and Illidan was a very important character and should have the opportunity to influence the game, it also encourages players to go Neutral Renegaes.) - Orange gains access to the following additional Illidari events: Consume Skull of Gul’dan, Use Eye of Sargeras to Weaken Frozen Throne, Broken Akama Alliance. - Orange gains Lady Vashj and Illidan, but does not gain Velensis Felsoul. Dark Hordes attack and defence upgrades level up at same time as Human ones, so Naga units will still be useful late game. - This path also becomes available if Red player leaves game. - Dark Horde has the Troll Destroyer ship, which is superior to normal Orc Frigates and has Ensnare ability and makes Orange look more reminiscent of the Second War. - Rend, Chieftain of the Blackrock Clan is now mounted. SHADOW COUNCIL - The Syndicate path is here! Read further down for details. - Shadow Council can summon Felsabers at their Summoning Prisms. - Shadow Council starts off with some additional units inside Auchidoun to help with the fight at Tempest Keep. - Fel Rays deal -6 less damage. - Duration of Ray Sting slow on enemy heroes reduced from 5 to 3 seconds. - Blackheart has increased strength befitting an Ogre. The upgrade which grants you Blackheart has now been moved to your Altar of Demons building. NEW FULL FACTION PATH: The Syndicate (Details) - From exiled folk of Alterac, the Synidcate forms under the leadership of Aliden Perenolde. They gain bases in Alterac, Durnholde keep and Tol Barad Peninsula. Heroes include: Aliden Perenolde, Lord Falconcrest, Nagaz (Nagaz is none revivable, Falconcrest becomes none revivable is Alterac is destroyed). They join the Neutral renegades team. - Syndicate is a mix of Warlock and Rogue style units and heroes. They excel at assasination and backstabing, while their stealth abilities make them difficult to hunt down and their Pillage ability helps them survive on low incomes. - Syndicate uses human upgrades but the basic attack and defence upgrades carry accros from the Shadow Council variants. - As Aliden Perenolde starts off at Tol Barad Peninsula he starts with a Scroll of Mass Teleport. - Vorpil joins the Burning Legion and Teron joins the Dark/Fel Horde. Shadow Councils units become a part of the Legions army. (This way Legion gets some compensation for losing an important ally.) Legion can still summon using Vorpil and can still summon Murmur but does not have access to any other SC events. REDEMPTION PATH FOR SYNDICATE: Reformation of Alterac: - This next path requires some explanation: Triggering the Syndicate path puts more pressure on alliance as all their bases spawn throughout Lordaeron, to offset this and increase the chances of alliance comebacks late game I wanted a way for Syndicate to rejoin alliance. Alliance has numerous paths to join evil team but until now legion and scourge teams had none, this also increases the unpredictability of the game. - As this goes into the realm of custom lore, something which a lot of people are very sceptical about, I wanted to draw as much inspiration as possible from official Warcraft backstory. Before the destruction of Alterac, an influential Alterac noble was once betrothed to King Terenas’s daughter: Calia Menethil. It turned out this noble was infact Deathwing in human guise in a bid to become King of Alterac, but it does raise the interesting question of what would have become of Alterac had Calia been its queen, I’m sure the punishment for Aidens betrayal wouldn’t have been so severe? - In WoW: Legion we see that Calia has survived the third war and like her brother has become of follower of the holy light. Therefore, Syndicates final path will be the option to Marry Calia with Aliden, thus becoming King and Queen of Alterac and rejoining the alliance of Lordaeron. Obviously, the alliance would only consider this under very desperate circumstances so this path only becomes available if alliance is broken up. As you would expect Syndicate loses Nagaz hero. CULT OF THE DAMNED - None this patch SILVERHAND - If LB has managed to survive after 12 minutes in Outland then the Exodar Mission is automatically successful. (The mission is to survive in Outland while causing as much damage to enemies as possible, it is not meant to act as a permanent base for LB. In games where Legion team has newbies and LB is pro, I have seen LB actually cripple Legion by not completing the mission and waiting for the TP timer to expire so their allies can join them. This usually results in Legion team RQing as it’s not fun to siege Tempest keep for more than 10 minutes. - LB has -2 less starting units at Tempest Keep. - Cost of footmen reduced from 13 to 12. LORDAERON - None this patch DRAGONMAW - None this patch BUG /ABUSE FIXES / OPTIMISATIONS - When Fallen Nerubians activated message displays to correct player. - Tiny pathable space at bottom of map has been filled in. - Frozen Thrones Armies of the dead can no longer be used on Tolbarad Island. - Neutral old gods team now also benefit from the player left gold and lumber compensation system. - Legion can no longer snipe kill Genn Greyman and deny Dalaran their Gilneas event for first 10 minutes of game. - Sunwell is Less likely to accidently be destroyed when its captured now. - When King Terenas dies of old age and passes Crown onto Arthas this no longer prevents DG from building their elite unit or using Arthas’s Divine Shield. New Lordaeron path now becomes available if Lordaeron has been captured by Legion or Scourge Team. - Arthas can no longer take Frostmourne after The Frozen Throne has been destroyed. - Workshops can now be built by Dark Iron if they’ve previously gone Wildhammer Path. - Fixed a memory leak when Lady Vashj is spawned. - Kargaths animation no longer freezes after cinematic intro. - Random black fadeout and back in has been fixed. - Pressing ESC 10 seconds into game should no longer permanently disables user control. If it does still disable your control then please wait 30 seconds and user control should come back. (Unfortunately the temporary disabling of user control is required to stop troll players attempting to gain control during the 40 second map loading/introduction time.) - Fixed text bug on Morghors Dragonscale ability.
